Quinta da Alorna has almost 300 years of history and has been with the Lopo de Carvalho family for five generations.

Quinta da Alorna was born by the hands of D. Pedro de Almeida.Many years later, two of the daughters of the Marquise of Alorna sold the “Quinta dos Alorna” (as it was called) to the counts of Junqueira, and the heirs alienated it. in public auction, passing it to the hands of Dr. Manuel Caroça – great-grandfather of the current shareholders – respectable dentist, merchandise broker and big business man who ended up becoming the sole owner of Quinta da Alorna.
