The strong majority of the grapes come from the Pinhão River Valley, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz withstand the summer heat very well. These were joined by grapes from other Douro valleys, which translates into a classic blend of the region. Fermentation took place in a mixture of a closed vat to ensure freshness and aromatic component, as well as an open vat (lagar) to
ensure greater complexity and structure.
Tasting Notes:
After a slow and careful aging in our cellars in the Douro, this Vintage now has an intense and ripe fruitiness, in addition to a floral that gives it excellent freshness. It shows a strong concentration and structure in the mouth, always accompanied by a rich and variable aromatic component.

Vinification:
After a somewhat dry winter, we had a very rainy March, normal April and May in terms of precipitation but with a very focused fall, and July again registers extraordinary values. But all of this led to extraordinary pressure in the control of late mildew to ensure the production itself was scarce due to the poor flowering conditions, and which would all point to a significant delay in maturation that was even more than a month! We started the harvest on the 10th of September and ended on the 20th of October.
