Vinification:
Fermentation without maceration at controlled temperature at 18-20ºC with an average aging stage of 2 years in old barrels.
The cultivation of vines in the Douro, the first Demarcated Region in the world, is lost in the memory of time. Located in the northeast of Portugal, in the hydrographic basin of the River Douro, surrounded by mountains that give it particular characteristics, the region covers a total area of 250,000ha, being divided into three naturally distinct sub-regions.
