Maceration in small presses at a controlled temperature of 24-26ºC and using gravity techniques for moving grapes/must/wine. Aging for 14 months in new French oak barrels.
The use of different varieties to obtain complete and complex wines is something that the Douro dominates due to the vast experience accumulated over the centuries. These wines have an enviable capacity for aging in the bottle.
