Tasting Notes:
Dark, dense and opaque color. Intense fruit of blueberries and raspberries, bread dough, pastries and spices. Characteristic aromas of wild flowers present in the vineyards of Romaneira. It reveals mineral flavors, with well-integrated barrel and dark chocolate notes. Very good tannins and excellent finesse.

Vinification:
Fermented in stainless steel vats for 10 days, after which malolactic fermentation takes place.
Romaneira is one of the greatest and most historic estates in the Douro, being among the three or four largest estates in the region. The property is quite extensive, being flanked for about two kilometers by the river Douro. The best Douro wines are produced from grapes cultivated either on the banks of the Douro river or its tributaries. The red grape varieties of Romaneira come, exactly, from vines located by the river.
