Production:
The Special Edition 2016 is a late harvest obtained from our “A Matinha” ginjal, aged for approximately two years in used barrels of fortified wine. Fruity with small notes of macerated red fruits and a touch of rounded chocolate, it has a long and deep aftertaste. Goes well with strong cheeses or convent sweets at the end of the meal and should be served in a “balloon” style glass at a temperature of 18ºC, breathing for approximately 10 minutes before serving.
Mariquinhas is produced by a family business with 70 years of history and certified as an artisanal production unit. The liqueur is made from certified sour cherries with protected geographical indication, thus guaranteeing that the fruit is Portuguese. This product provides a unique experience of tasting the sour cherry liqueur with the fruit and in a special and numbered bottle.
