In 2016 we enjoyed the long and slow maturations that our oldest strains and our best plots took advantage of to provide grapes with an exemplary balance between acidity and tannins. The two varieties that benefited most from the exceptional goodness of nature were Syrah and Alicante Bouschet, providing grapes in a perfect state of ripeness. With such good raw material we prefer to work them
little, leaving the grapes to speak for themselves. So we did little more than stepping on foot in our wine presses, according to the most traditional methods of the region, followed by aging in new barrels and second-year French oak barrels, allowing the wine to express itself in the purest way. .
