Anselmo Mendes Dão Private is produced exclusively from our grapes from Quinta de Silvares, located in the Dão region, sub-region of Besteiros characterized by humid mornings and mild temperatures that come from the protection offered by the Aguieira dam. This particular microclimate gives the wines produced here a unique character of elegance in the region.
Tasting Notes:
Young wine with vivid ruby color. Aromas of ripe berries with nuances of cherry and black pepper. Fine and velvety tannins that contrast harmoniously with a well-creased and fresh acidity. Finishes long, soft and full of black fruit.

Vinification:
Grapes harvested manually in small boxes and transported to the winery located in the farm itself, and the transport time is very small. Total desengace. Long fermentation at low temperature. Total malolactic fermentation. Stage in new French oak barrel for 12 months followed by an 18-month bottle stage.
